Welcome to Daily Life In the Studio!
Beginning. It’s all about starting. Some say its about having a good start, I say any start is good because sometimes, its what is most challenging simply stepping off.
I am moving into a new studio! Packing up my supplies, my easel and canvases, everything! I am excited and hopeful. A wonderful friend gave me a plaster panel to play on and it is sitting on my easel in my new space, beckoning to me like a siren from the sea. New beginnings , its something I really need at the moment, I think we all do. I am moving all my items from my years spent studying classical drawing and painting, Including the life cast of my face. I made it with students when I was in Juliette Aristides Atelier at Gage Academy, and not only does it represent me, but a period in my life that was steeped in a tradition and a transition ( for me) to when I learned to bend time, and slow it,( rather than aways moving and checking things off a task list), but creating a true and honest focus of comprehension . Something I hope I can apply to everything in my life attentiveness, cultivation, time, and wonder.
